’24′ is set to Return, Jack Bauer Hits Our Screens Again
I just recently finished watching all 8 seasons of ’24′ on Netflix. It took me a good few months to get through, and occupied a lot of my evenings. When I finished the ultimate finale, I was somewhat disappointed as there felt like there were still some loose ends that could of been filled. So, the news being announced by Fox today is rather great. ’24′ is making a return to our screens next May for a 12 episode rundown which will go into the Summer.
The makers of 24 have admitted that they actually wanted to expand on and make a film, but they decided that putting 24 hours of action into a 2 hour film just wasn’t right, and doesn’t fit the theme of how the series works, as it physically takes 24 hours to complete. (Well, 40 minutes per episode on Netflix considering there is not advertisements).
So, they are doing it this way instead, and Keifer Sutherland is excited too:
“The response to ‘24’ is unlike anything I have ever experienced as an actor before,”
“To have the chance to reunite with the character, Jack Bauer, is like finding a lost friend. The story ideas from [producer] Howard Gordon are exciting and fresh, and will not disappoint…Make no mistake, my goal is to knock your socks off.”
I can’t wait to see the return of this hit show, even with 8 seasons flying past, there is room for me of this action, and the clever way it brings politics into the mix.
