A professor at the top US University Harvard is after an ‘adventurous’ woman to give birth to a baby Neanderthal. His plan is to bring the extinct relative of human kind back to life by reconstructing their DNA, after completing an analysis of Neanderthal bone-sample (Neanderthals became extinct 33,000 years ago). He has said to a German magazine Der Spiegel “Now I need an adventurous female human…It depends on a hell of a lot of things, but I think it can be done”.

He plans to create the artificial DNA based on the genetic coding found in bone samples of the Neanderthal, and then put the DNA into stem cells. During the early stages of life of a human embryo, the cells would be injected, and would develop Neanderthal lines rather than Sapien. The Professor behind this is a scientist who helped initiate the Human Genome Project that mapped human DNA, and feels that his new project will have strong benefits for today’s world. He believes they were highly intelligent, and possibly even more intelligent than humans today.
